Mining Site Before and After Reclamation

This was a six acre mine site in Walton, New York. This site was previously excavated and mined by other local stone companies who had walked away from it, leaving the landowner with an environmental mess. Robert saw this as not only an opportunity to mine quality material, but also to reclaim land that needed to be restored to a usable state.

Devonian Stone of New York, Inc. put extra work into the grading and contouring of the land, producing a finished product that has impressed the New York Department of Environmental Conservation to the level of nominating Devonian Stone of New York, Inc. for the New York State Reclamation of the Year Award !
